Inland Passage small ship cruise ~ National Geographic?

Has anyone ever done one of the National Geographic Expeditions? We're thinking of their Inland Passage Cruise, small ship only 31 rooms. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Cruise West also offers small-ship cruising of the Inside Passage, so that's another possibility.

My parents have been on several CruiseWest cruises and enjoy the casual, low key nature of them a lot.

Lindblad expeditions is a great small ship experience. I went with them to the Galapagos and was so impressed that I am going to do the passage with them. www.expeditions.com

Freespirit61, it's great to hear you have already done an expedition with Lindblad, as we have booked the trip on the inland passage for the July 27 trip through National Geographic. Apparently National Geographic and Lindblad are partners, as the Lindblad site is the same as the NG site for information, and the ships and dates are the same.

Do you know yet when you are going?

We are tentatively going at the beginning of May. I have done four big cruise ships on the inner passage and want to see the inner passage up close and be able to explore and hike. Thats what is so great about Lindblad. Enjoy. Alaska is heaven on earth and everytime I look at the inner passage, I think of those brave explorers who canoed it. What a time that must have been. Happy New Year. Please post your trip report.. Thanks
