Information please on Econolodge located on Vine in Hollywood
 

I am looking for a clean room. It's only a place to shower and sleep. I can get an internet rate of $48.60 per night at the Econolodge at 777 North Vine Street (around the corner from Melrose). There's a pool, free parking and free continental breakfast. I'm a native New Yorker so I don't have to be in a luxurious area either. Reasonably safe. Any firsthand experience and or information? Thank you.

It's not the worst neighborhood, but a little out of the way of things. Why not try the Days Inn at 7203 Sunset. Much better location. There's a Holiday Inn Express around the corner from there too. I am telling you these 2 because you seem like you are on a budget.

No! Avoid at any price! Try Motel 6 on Whitley.

Agreed. Econo Lodge is in one of the least desirable areas of Hwd. Days Inn Sunset, Holiday Inn Highland, Days Inn Hollywood Blvd and even Dunes Inn on Sunset are better. Rodeway or Vagabond Inn in Glendale are just 10 min away.
