INFORMATION IN TRAVEL BOOK

The book indicates the Marriott at San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf does not a/c. The hotel says they do have air conditioning, which is true?

I have no idea which "book" you're referring to but this is fairly simple. You have to side with the hotel staff.

Scarlett Jun 13th, 2004 06:17 PM

Whatever book you read, if you spoke to the hotel, why would you not believe them?

Marilyn Jun 13th, 2004 07:50 PM

What difference does it make? You won't need air con in SF.

kikahead Jun 13th, 2004 10:25 PM

Ditto what Marilyn said. You should be so lucky as to need air con in SF. There are about three days a year I wish I had it. I haven't even used it in my car in forever!!

FainaAgain Jun 14th, 2004 03:34 PM

AC in a SF hotel? Make sure they have HEATERS!

janis Jun 14th, 2004 08:52 PM

Assumptions you can safely make:

1) the book is probably wrong
2) The hotel staff is probably right
3) You WILL NOT need a/c even if the book is right . . . . .

Is this the Good Book?

Scarlett Jun 15th, 2004 01:15 PM

LOL GoTravel...well, I don't think it is the Right Book :D

GoTravel Jun 15th, 2004 01:19 PM

Well if it is the Good Book, I'd listen to the Big Guy befoe I'd listen to any ole' Marriott employee.

Cats_Do_Dance Jun 15th, 2004 01:49 PM

If you spoke to the hotel direct, I would believe them unless the travel book has a warning in large print stating: "The only drawback to this otherwise fine establishment is their tendency to lie about the lack of air conditioning in the hotel".

someone who has stayed there, please help out, BARBARAZ-1

janis Jun 15th, 2004 04:22 PM

Huh - I think we have helped. Advising that the hotel staff probably knows what they are talking about -- AND that in any case, they will not need a/c.
