Information about hotel in Carmel
I will be visiting Carmel during my Honeymoon in the middle of the month of June. ?Has anyone stayed at the Highlands Inn Park? Any information about this Hotel with regards to its accommodations will be appreciated. Need recomendations. |
We didn't stay there, but we stayed across the way at Tickled Pink Inn. It's very romatic, quaint, lovely and I think a perfect spot for a honeymoon. Check out their website. Also, get a convertible and take a drive down to Big Sur. It's a beautiful drive...then have drinks and lunch on the deck at Sierra Mar Restaurant at Post Ranch Inn. Now, I'm not sure what your budget is...but that's a place for a honeymoon! Go to their website www.postranchinn.com It's incredible. If you take an afternoon drive to Big Sur, watch the sunset and have a romantic dinner at Sierra Mar. The restaurant has floor to ceiling windows and you feel as if you're suspended over the ocean. If you do dinner, you will need reservations. Can you tell I fell in love with this place?
Oh, congratulations! |
I meant TICKLE PINK INN. Go to ticklepinkinn.com Don't let the name scare you. Their website will explain the name!

Hi Berri,
I also have stayed at the Tickle Pink... loved everything about it. It is right next door to the Highlands Inn.. kimamom has posted much about Highl Inn, do a search and you'll find more info... she has given great reviews. Congrats and happy planning! |
Thanks for all suggestions! Unfortunately, Tickle Pink Inn does not have any room available for the relevant days. Maybe next time!!!!! However, I will be visiting the Sierra Mar for dinner as suggested. Looks great and very appropriated for the occasion. |
The Highland's Inn is fabulous! You can't go wrong here and it would make some wonderful memories for your honeymoon. Try to book an oceanview spa suite. They are rooms, almost like an apartment with wonderful soaking tubs for two. The views are just amazing.
You will be truly pampered, with valet parking, the wonderful California Market and Pacific's Edge on the property. Also, the lobby is just beautiful with sweeping views of the ocean dancing on the rocks below the property. I really want to try Sierra Mar for dinner sometime, too. I wish we would have gone there instead of Passionfish in PG on our last trip. I hope you get to try the Highland's Inn! It's the luxury resort of Carmel. I recently stayed at the Plaza in Monterey and now call it the Highland's Inn of Monterey!! It will really spoil you and is well worth the $$$ for the memories you will make. ***kim*** |
Just be sure you're there in time for the sunset! Have a wonderful time!

Congratulations on getting married soon. I have stayed at the Tickle Pink Inn and the Highlands Inn and they are both awesome. The Highlands Inn has rooms with the double jacuzzi tubs, fireplace and Ocean views, nicely decorated. Tickle Pink doesnt have the double jacuzzi, but it is a classic. Make sure you get the free bikes at highlands and ride the streets above the inn, it is a beautiful ride and you will see some great homes. Don't worry, you can't get lost, the streets all end up at the same place. Dont forget to have a picnic at the beach and watch the sunset, very romantic.

Thank you all for your recommendations. I confirm that we booked a Oceanview Spa Suite. |
It's pricey for sure, but a special place for a special occasion. Be sure to get dinner reservations and try to time it for a little before sundown. Let them know it's your honeymoon and ask for a window table if at all possible.
