Info for trip in Oct

We booked a hotel this weekend at Hilton right by the river walk. Wondered if this is a good hotel or not. Hope so.
Also was wondering what the weather is going to be like. We will be arriving on Oct 16-20. Is this shorts weather all day and night? Any help would be great!!

What city?

There isn't a Hilton near the river walk in Fort Lauderdale. Gee, I wonder how many other river walks exist in the U.S.???? Hmmmmmm :-\

Sorry I thought I was posted under NO.
That was where I was talking about.

The Hilton is fine. Typical of most other Hiltons, I'd say. It's really big (1600 rooms) so take a few minutes to "get your bearings" when you arrive.

Enjoy the city. It's cooler now and by October shorts may be too chilly at night. You never know, though, so check weather.com before you pack.

By all means pack shorts!! We live in Baton Rouge now, but visited NO before we moved here--the visit was in Oct. I didn't bring enough warm weather clothes and was VERY uncomfortable. The evenings can be cool, so bring sweaters or sweatshirts to layer--and perhaps long pants for evening or if there is a cool spell during the day.
