Inexpensive hotel near Encinitas CA end of February

Hello. I am looking for an inexpensive to moderate priced hotel or motel around Encinitas, CA. Maybe around $75 a night?

We are visiting my eldery cousin near El Camino Real & Encinitas Blvd. so something near that intersection would be great. Of course something clean, with character near the beach would be nice too...

I am going with my boyfriend and it will be for a weekend in late February.

Thanks for your help!

I also like El Norte Especial for Mexican food but I think Fidels in Solana Beach is better. It's not quite as easy to find but worth the effort.

Since I lived in the area, I had no experience with hotels there and can't help with that question.

Hey d..
I am a huge fan of Fidel's and was just there last week for my fav dish..the chile relleno there..the best..my husband gets the chicken burrito and it's all white meat..
Love El Norte for the food and their chicken tortilla soup is one of the best in the world!

I live here as well but googled Encinitas hotels and that one looked good for the price and I have seen it but never stayed..

Hey TahitiTams. We used to go to Fidel's in the 90's with my in-laws when they lived nearby in Oceanside. Nice to hear they are still a great place to go.

Thanks your reco led me to some great options. I ended up springing for a few more bucks and went with the Moonlight Beach Motel. I'd love any thoughts anyone has and will post a review when I get back!
