Indoor Water Parks and Hotels

Any recommendations for a great indoor water park and hotel for a 2, 10 and 11 year old?

It looks like some possibilities include Wilderness, Kalahari, Great Wolf and others, but it's hard to judge them from a website.

Our trip is planned for February 26-28th.

Thanks!

My husband and I stayed at the Great Wolf in Wisconsin Dells and had a great time. There were alot of kids there and it's fun for the whole family. (My husband and I don't have kids and we had fun!) They have hot tubs and 2 large areas indoor - one with waterslides, and one with a large play area to climb on, etc. There is also an outdoor pool with waterslide. We were there 2 years ago and I think they may have added on since we were there. The Kalahari was still being built when we were thyere, but looks very nice too.

Kalahari is the biggest show in town, but at those ages you may be just as happy at the other two. Kalahari has put outdoor waterpark sized slides and such compared with the scaled down version in your standard indoor water park.

If you can get the same rates at all three, go with the Kalahari, otherwise both other choices will be fine.

Kalahari is the hot thing and the biggest indoor Water Park known to man...so they say! My nephews of 9-12 year range love all water parks and had a ball there.

IMHO, you can't go wrong at any of the places for a water park in Feb.

However...make sure to ask about their policy on allowing non guests to come into the water park. Many of these properties allow this, including Kalahari (around $30.00 a person, no child rate..which prices most people out). Familyland at Treasure Island for example is a locals favorite because of the day price and I would not recommend it due to this.

If you want big thrills, go with one of the 3 you have listed. If you want more laid back, consider the Polynesian.

Hope that helps

I have been to all three you mentioned. We liked all of them. We just stayed at the Kalahari in January and they up gradded our room with out asking. As far as the lobby and indoor water park I would have to sa Kalahari. The wilderness has two indoor water parks and a dry play area wich was fun. The greatwolf lodge is also nice but nowere as big as the other two but a bit more relaxing I would say. The 10, and 11year olds would like Kalahri or wilderness better. I also have a 10 year old. So bottom line I would say wilderness,Kalahari, greatwolflode in that order but first two real close.

Wilderness is great! You will find no reason to leave the resort unless you want a latte! We were there in Sept. with our 4 year old and it was a hit!----The latte can be found down the street at the cyber-cafe!
