Indoor pool in Key West?
would you know of any condo/villa or other property that has an indoor pool in K.W.??
|
I'm 99% sure there are no indoor pools in Key West since average daily temperatures never go below the mid-seventies. Of course there are exceptions when it's much cooler, but not many.

susan...even in December/January? should we look for a heated pool? Is it possible that it can be cold one day and then hot the next? Sorry for being dense but I have kids who want to swim baaadly in the winter. thanks.

Stan:

I go to Key West every January and always swim in an outdoor pool. We even went parasailing and it was beautiful. I stay at the Eden House which has a heated pool; however, it would have just been fine if it were not heated. (My biggest concern is to find a FRESH water pool, I don't ming the ocean, but I just have to have a chlorine in a pool)

Now, swimming in the ocean was a bit chilly (around 70 degrees) but after you got used to it, it was not so bad. The swimming at Dry Tortugas was a bit warmer.

We normally wear shorts when we site-see and I wear sundresses and jumpers in the evenings, maybe a sweater if there is a chill at night. This past year a cold front moved in just as we were driving back up the keys, but even then it only lasted a day.

Have a great time!

Sheli

Stan - the average daily temps I gave you were for December and January in Key West. As I said, there are major exceptions and I have experienced them myself. If you find a heated pool and that's really important to you and your family you should probably take it.
