Indianapolis-New York airfare
Am looking to book a direct flight from Indy to Laguardia in October. The airfare for a direct flight is around $400, which seems like a lot to me, although I've never priced airfare to NYC. Will the deals get better the closer I get to October....if so, when could I expect the fares to drop. Or is this as good as it gets?
Thanks |
WHOA, no way is that as good as it gets, LOL! Southwest flies from IND to LGA and I've seen tickets as cheap as 49 each way. You won't be able to book that for awhile, but you can download their "Ding" program and you'll know whan tickets are available for that time.

You can fly ATA, connecting in Midway for $120 each way.
LGA to Indianapolis isn't a super competitive non-stop route. |
Try one-stop or add your choices to EWR/JFK as well.
Only Northwest and USAir flies IND-LGA non-stop, so not much competition. |
Cheapest fares right now are to Newark. US Airways for $265 with a stop. Continental $277 non stop.
Southwest flies the route to LGA (via ATA) but with 1 stop. |
Southwest flies IND to ISP - Isplip Long Island, with trasfers at Midway or BWI. Fares right now as low as $99+taxes. It's a pain to get to Manhattan from ISP.
What about flying to EWR Newark? |
(forgot about the ATA affiliation now)
|
you are also wrong about SW. It flies to LGA which is laguardia.
|
Southwest Airlines (WN) do not fly into LaGuadia (LGA). It doesn't fly to JFK or Newark (EWR) either.
LGA is served by ATA, Southwest airline partner. |
Yes, it's bookable on SW but is an ATA flight, sorry about that, but it's still a lot cheaper than 400 bucks. We flew into Laguardia last May from Louisville, which is 3 hrs from Indy for 218 each total.
