Indian hot springs

I plan to take my 35 year old daughter-in-law for a 2-day spa retreat the last week in October, 2019.
We'd like it 1-2 hours from Denver International Airport. I found Indian Hot Springs in Idaho springs, CO. It looks like a rustic spa and hopefully just what the doctor ordered. I'd truly appreciate any knowledge of the resort.
I realize it's not a luxury spa....which suits us both fine. But I'd like it to be nice and relaxing....clean.
What advice do you have?
Thank you,
Kwingy

I don’t know it but reviews mostly indicate its pretty dingy. Doesn’t sound like much of a spa retreat to me. I I’d think about Vail - lots of beautiful resorts and spas and some not super pricey.

We spent a day there years ago. Unless they've made some major changes it was indeed dingy and not particularly clean looking.

Checking out Vail is a good idea. Late October is typically ahead of the ski season so maybe you can find some good rates. Keep an eye on the weather forecast before you start driving over the I-70 mountain passes, Eisenhower Tunnel and Vail Pass. Have a good trip.

Personally, I wouldn't want to spend 2 days in Idaho Springs and definitely not at a place that gets marginal reviews. I agree with checking out Vail or any of the other resort towns. Or if you want to just enjoy a spa day not far from Denver, check out The Tall Grass Spa in Evergreen.

I've been there; I'd chalk it up to a "glad I went for the novelty" experience. Go somewhere nice.

Definitely not......Indian Hot Springs

Thank each of you. I'll change our destination. Is there one in the Vail area or another area that you'd recommend. I'd like to stay within 2 hours of Denver Airport.
I'll be flying in from Maryland to meet her and go to the resort.
I truly appreciate your input.

Vail

I'm looking seriously at Vail Mountain Lodge and spa, East Meadow Drive in Vail. We haven't made reservations yet, but I'd appreciate feedback if you know of it.
Many thanks,
Kwingy

If you could stretch to 2.5 hours, I highly recommend Mt Princeton Hot Springs in Buena Vista.

I second that. But stopped short of suggesting it since the OP wanted 1 to 2 hour drive range.

That could also involve a nice drive up the road to visit the St. Elmo ghost town, and would be more "Colorado" than a generic Vail spa (though they are nice, I'm sure)!

I think Mt. Princeton is an excellent suggestion. Unfortunately, I've never been because every time I want to stay there, it's booked!
