Indian food in Washington, DC
Need suggestions for husband and son - not my favorite ethnic food, but they will be in DC together and both enjoy it. They are staying in Convention Center area but will have car.

Rasika, on D St. between 6th and 7th Sts., is very close, very good, and very hip. It's also kind of expensive.
Bombay Club, on the block of Connecticut Ave. between Lafayette Park and Farragut Square, is an old fashioned, formal place with very good food. An Indian friend considers them fantastic. Indique, which is at the Cleveland Park metro stop, is very good and a more casual, locals place. |
My cousins lived in New Delhi for some years.
They take us to Bombay Club. |
Rasika.
For begetarian, there is Nirvannah at 1825 K. |
Bombay is a bit pricey during the week, but they have what has to be the cheapest brunch in all of DC. I'm a WASP from the midwest but love their food. Was last there for brunch in late April and believe it's about $22/person.
