In Seattle one day--help
 

We're flying in for a cruise one day early. Any suggestions on what to do in seattle? Any must sees? Thanks.

I guess it depends on what your interests are,(and what weather you get while there) but most people enjoy visiting the Pike Place Market, which is right near the downtown shopping core but on the waterfront. If you have kids, you might enjoy the Space Needle. Or if you like offbeat things, you might like the Underground Tour in Pioneer Square. For a wonderful scenic ferry ride, you could walk on a ferry to Bainbridge Island.

I met my family in Seattle for a jam-packed single day before we headed north. Underground tour, shopping in Pioneer Square, visit to Pike Place Market, lunch, Duck Tour, and dinner. The pickup point for the Duck Tour is close to the space needle. I missed the oriental market and gardens; next time.

The duck tours are really popular here in Seattle and definately are the best way to see a lot especially if you only have one day.

all the suggestions listed are good ones. Just an fyi- Pike Place Market isn't on the waterfront. It's about 2 blocks up the hill from that.

Also the museum of flight has one of the Concords and there is a Van Gogh exhibit coming to the SAM. Not sure what your dates are.

Don't know where home is, but if not on the west coast, spend a little time in the International District getting a feel for Seattle's role on the Pacific Rim. An hour at the wonderful Uwajimaya Village pan-Asian grocery/department store/food court complex will be well spent.

Go to a ballgame at Safeco Field. Thanks for your taxes.
