In NYC,storing bags at one of the musuems-
 

or Grand Central or Penn Stations? Can you do this as I know because of security concern lockers in a lot of places are a thing of the past.

At Penn I believe you can store a bag with Amtrak but only if you have an Amtrak ticket. Otherwise, no. There is also no bag storage at Grand Central. However, you can store bags at many hotels, even if you're not spending the night there. <BR><BR>This question comes up a lot on this board...just relaying what others have said.

PS The big museums (like the Met) have large coat rooms...they probably accept bags too. The last time I brought my coat to the coat room, though, it took 1/2 hour of waiting on line to retrieve it.

I highly doubt a museum would accept LUGGAGE at the coatchecks
