In New York and looking for good sushi?

I recommend Haru.... it was on about 80th and Columbus... just went there on Monday night and had a great meal! Food and service was out of this world!

Whole Foods in Time Warner Center has brown rice sushi that's wonderful too.

Totoya on First Avenue around 64th Street has the best rolls in Manhattan.

Also, there's a Haru on the Upper East Side in the 70's.

The W Side branch of Haru is at 80th and Amsterdam; in addition to the E Side, there's another Haru on 48th, between Madison/Park.

For you Japanese food lovers: Is Nobu as good as the buzz says it is? I will be in NY soon and would like some good Japanese food, not just sushi (I eat alot of great sushi at home, love it but I want something else besides sushi).
Thanks for any insight.

I love Sushi Samba downtown! Great atmosphere. Only thing I don't like about Nobu is they make you get up after a specified amount of time. No dawdling!

Woops! I forgot to tell you where Sushi Samba is. 7th Ave South and Barrow Street. Its amazing! Fun atmosphere and great sushi and drinks!

"Bond Street" restaurant, Nobu, and Jewel Bako are all to die for. Haru good for a more middle-level budget.
