Robert, I don't know what price range you're considering, but hte Loew's L'Enfant Plaza has a Metro station directly below it's lobby. It is a beautiful hotel & usually has great rates on off-business days, which your dates should be considered.

The Canterbury is in the Dupont Circle area and a block walking distance of the Metro. It's a small European style hotel. Very nice

I agree - the Canterbury is very nice. Good sized rooms and a surprisingly good neighborhood for being so centrally located. Also the Tabard Inn is right down the street.

If you don't care about location at all stay in L'Enfant Plaza. There's absolutely nothing near by.

Try the Doyl Hotel in Dupont Circle.

Sorry, the Doyle Hotel.

check Holiday Inn web rates for this weekend @ http://www.sixcontinentshotels.com/sixcontinentshotels I see that Telegraph Rd Holiday Inn in Alexandria, adjacent to the Eisenhower Rd Metro stop on the Yellow line has rooms for Fri/Sat for $41.40; that's 3 stops away from National Airport. National Airport Holiday Inn has rooms for $66. (No x in my e-ddress)
