Which of the 3 towers did you stay in? is any location better? why is it better?

With HHonors redemption what level of room do you get? does it depend on your level of HHonors(blue, silver, etc).

ALON points get you the garden view room. However, they can upgrade if there is availability. Palace Tower does not have its own pool. Lagoon Tower is closer to parking area and the Dolphin Lagoon. Kids' pool is at Lagoon tower. Ocean Tower is further from parking lot but seems nice. Concierge level is in Ocean Tower. I have heard complaint that it takes half hour to get from your room to other tower and parking lot. I guess it takes that long if you wait for the gondola or the railway. I did my morning walk from Lagoon to Ocean using the cement walkway along the shoreline and it takes less than 15 minutes. And that is walking, not speed walking.

So how many HHonors points would it be for a two night stay? (Saturday & Sunday night if that matters) Does the ALON code still help if it is for only 2 nights & not a week?

Although we prefer staying in condos rather than hotels (love the kitchens and our own washer/dryer) the Hilton Waikoloa is absolutely gorgeous. It is the nicest of all the resorts with great ammentities. I really enjoyed my experience with the Dolphin Quest program (a swim with the dolphins program). It is expensive but a memory I'll always treasure and a great once in a lifetime experience!!
