If you had to pick one Carmel restaurant...

If you had just one night in Carmel and had to pick just one restaurant, which one would it be?

I enjoy the atmosphere on Ocean Avenue and have always had great meals and a good time at Merlot, a bistro on Ocean near Lincoln.

Probably Pacific's Edge @ the Highland's Inn, but then I'm still waiting for a trip to Carmel to try Bouchee and L'Auberge Carmel. :) ***kim***

In Carmel proper: Either Bouchee or La Boheme.

We really enjoyed Casanova's but I haven't been to any of the others suggested.

Fresh Cream in Monterey is worth the trip. Bouchee has great food, average ambience. For a fun, loud, American meal Tarpy's Road House

I have really been wanting to hear more about Fresh Cream. Is it really good and are the views nice from the dining room? ***kim*** ((f))

For me it would be Casanova...casually romantic, and the food is always excellent, as is the service.
