dsquared, thank you for your advice. I've never thought about it like that.

Some of the ideas I was thinking about were, the 3 best road trips (although, not everyone has the same opinion). Coastal Camping, top 3 spots/places to stop while driving on the west coast. I did have all these great ideas earlier today. I am at work now and I have fried my brain for the night.

Talk about somewhere you have actually visited. It's always great to hear someone's first-hand account of his travels. Otherwise, you might as well read straight from a guidebook...

yes, do pick a place you have been to. i did a talk on my trip to paris for my speech class. it was actually fun.i talked about trying to buy tooth paste in french. i also did one on packing light for a trip to venice, and another speech was on buying, driving and repairing a car in germany.

so maybe you can think of an amusing or aggravating incident that took place on a trip that you went on. you can explain what you learned from it. it should not be hard to get three points across.

college students really enjoy listening to slightly humorous talks. in my classes the students also graded the speeches as well as the teacher.

have fun with the speech.

I think I've narrowed it down to two lane highways. I am just having a hard time figuring out how to talk about that.
