If it rains in Orlando...

I've been looking ahead on weather.com, and it looks like one day of our vacation in Orlando could be a little rainy. Just wondering which park would be the best of the 4 Disneyworld and Universal Studios. Mostly indoor rides, etc.

Thanks!

I think EPCOT would be the best park to do on a rainy day. Other than walking to the different attractions/countries, everything is inside.

Disney-MGM has many indoor attractions, so that would be my second choice, but many of their shows are outside or at least open to the elements on the sides of the theatres (the roofs are covered by those sunshade fabrics).

I wouldn't do the Magic Kingdom in the rain because many rides are outside and uncovered and it would spoil the parade as well. Same for the Animal Kingdom.

As for Universal, the Studios would be better in the rain than Islands of Adventure. Islands has several rollercoasters and water rides that would be less fun in inclement weather.

And just remember--a little rain shower every day is normal for Florida. Hopefully it will be brief and won't interrupt your fun. Have a great time!

We were in WDW last year during a rainy period.

The rain worked to our advantage by keeping the crowds down.,
we just did outdoor rides during the dry time.

Buy rain slickers before you ge to WDW in any color BUT yellow. Disney sells yellow..and it makes it difficiult to pick out family members in the "sea of yellow".

Good point, Dick. We were there during Christmas week, and it rained 2 evenings-I mean, it POURED! Even with umbrellas we got soaked walking(and running) thru ther Marketplace shops. It seems as you walk the rain splashes up your legs and back. Hope the slickers help you guys...

Thanks for all the great advice. We'll be there next week, and now the only predictably rainy day is Thurs., so maybe we'll luck out, as we leave Fri. The hubby is a real rain wuss.
