Idyllwild restaurant recs
 

This is probably a long shot, but I'm heading up to Idyllwild this weekend and was wondering if anyone had any restaurant recommendations?

I currently have reservations at Gastrognome (how is it?) for Sat night but the rest of the weekend is open.

Have been to Cafe Aroma and would like to try something different. How's the Greek Place? We like all kinds of food. Thanks!

okay, it might be just me...but where are you talking about? I don't know where Idyllwild is!

Idyllwild is nestled in the San Jacinto mountains, south and east of LA.

Patty, I am going to be up there this weekend too! Maybe we should have a GTG! LOL!!!
My SO and I were there two years ago and ate at Cafe Aroma and we just love it. In fact, that is on our lists of must-do's for this weekend! I really don't know of much else, and haven't eaten at Gastrognome, but looking at their website , http://www.gastrognome.com/ just makes me want to go back to Cafe Aroma.

Wow, I really didn't expect any replies, much less find that another Fodorite is going the same weekend :)

We were there last May and really liked Cafe Aroma too. Just thought we'd try out some other places simply because Cafe Aroma is the only place we've ever tried, but we might go back there anyway.

I'm going with my husband and we're bringing our dogs. It's really <i>their</i> vacation for putting up with us gone so often.
