Ideas for romantic restaurant
 

Hello all of you fellow travellers! My husband and I are planning a trip to Orlando the last part of June and we will be staying about a mile from Disney World. We will be celebrating our 9th wedding anniversary and we are looking for a moderately priced restaurant to celebrate this event. We like steak, seafood and italian food. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

I'm kinda curious about this as well.... Not that I'm planning a romantic getaway to Orlando. From my experience, Orlando as a city is about as romantic as the toy section at the local Wal-Mart. But I can be persuaded otherwise. OK, Orlandoans, where does one find Romance Among the Theme Parks?!

My husband and I just returned and had some very romantic dinners! Here's a few: Morton's Steak House - Orlando, we have one near us in NY and is the best steak. Wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, one of our fav's. We go there so much we have a VIP card!
Victoria & Alberts - Grand Floridian, everyone knows about this. Excellent everything - no children (or none that I have ever seen)
California Grill - Contemporary Resort, It may be a bit loud but the view and food & service is incredible. If you love wine then this is the place as every bottle of wine thay have can be served by the glass. You can reserve a table in time for the fireworks, they dim the lights and pipe in the music. After dinner take a walk on the observation deck and watch the water pagent in the 7 seas lagoon!
Bistro de Paris - Epcot on second floor above Chefs. My husband had Filet and I had lobster. It was an excellent romantic leisurely meal. The souffle was the best I ever had. if you make a reservation for 7:15 you will be able to see Illuminations. Or ask for a window seat and you will have a great view - Illuminations starts at 9pm.
All restaurants serve steak, fish and lobster at Mortons. Hope this helps!

Interesting question. I remember a Dateline episode that looked into the seamier side of Orlando, for when the kids have been put to bed. If I remember correctly, the city has more than its fair share of tiddy bars and good-time watering holes. Somehting for all ages, I guess.

Yeah, Orlando has its dirty little secrets too. It ain't genteel South like Savannah or Asheville, is it...?

We spent our 25th at the end of 2001 at Universal Studios. Had dinner at Ruth's Chris-first time-and we really enjoyed it. It is near Universal.

I'm a frequent traveler to Orlando and without a doubt I would try the Flying Fish Cafe on Disney's Boardwalk. Great food, not too expensive (but not cheap) and you can stroll around the boardwalk and lake afterwards.
