Ideas for a rain soaked vacation?
We're leaving for Vail on the 9th and the forecast is for rain nearly every day - not all day but with over 60% odds. we'd planned to be outdoors almost all the time fishing, hiking, biking, rafting, horseback riding, etc. That may still be do-able but I'd love some other indoor type ideas as well if the rains really last a long time. I know we'll have the avon rec center, movies, etc. thanks!

Pop to Glenwood Springs for the giant thermal pool and scenery, or drive to Leadville through Minturn and check out the historical buildings and the mining museum(or actually tour a mine--that's out of the rain!). And, you should be ok, most often the rain is in the p.m.; just don't be on the mountain when the thunder starts.

Keep in mind that in the mountains- there's usually some rain daily........Sometimes, it's an all day rain, but it's more likely to be a portion of the day and not the whole day!

thanks - we were caught at the top of quandry peak during a hail storm a few years back - not fun at all!

There must be some good spas in that area - try a new treatment! I don't know how far Denver is from Vail, but there are some good museums there.
