Idaho - Good affordable campsite at Coeur d' Alene?
We are driving through Idaho in mid August... we need to sleep over somewhere between Coeur d' Alene and Mullan... we are camping. Any good suggestions? And good places to eat?

I'm not sure if this will fit your bill, but many, many moons ago bunch of us camped at the Faragut(sp?) State Park. It's about 20 miles north of the city. It's a beautiful park located on a gorgeous lake. At that time it provided everything from primitive campsites up to RV sites. Try to Google. Don't remember much about food places, besides, I'm sure some were closed and others opened since we were there.
Have a wonderful trip. That is a beautiful part of the country. |
You may want to check with the ID state parks or even the National Forest CGs.

Farragut State Park seems real cool, next to Idaho's biggest lake and was the 2nd largest naval training base, thanks, think we will go there!:)
