Iberville Suites --safe area??
 

First trip to New Orleans in August--have read many good things on this board about Iberville Suites--but need to know is it a safe area to walk at night? Are there safer areas? Thank you

Iberville Suites is on the edge of the French Quarter. I would consider it as safe as any area if you are careful and do not go any further out of the Quarter and stay inside Dauphine St. and for sure do not get on or past Rampart St. The Iberville Suites will be just one block from Bourbon St. and basically between the CBD and the Quarter. The Iberville Suites is located in the Ritz Carlton building, which is located between Canal St., Iberville, Dauphine, and Burgundy. On our previous visits we had not stayed out past midnight. Just do not adventure on streets that have no pedestrian traffic on them late at night, take a cab. They are reasonable! Enjoy this great city. So many things to do and see!!
