I80 or I70 Denver, CO to Erie, PA

Between I80 and I70 which one is the faster/easier drive between Denver, CO to Erie, PA? We will be traveling late June.

Thanks

Which route is shorter? I don't think it makes much difference. The I-80 route across northern Ill and through the south side of Chicago can have very heavy traffic and I-80 carry a lot of truck traffic through Iowa, Nebraska. If the distance is the same, I might consider I-70. It is pretty flat and wide open across Kansas.

I-70 will take nearly an hour more. If you get stuck in a Chicago traffic jam, all advantage is lost.
You should make it ti Dubuque IA in 12 hours. Without a traffic jam, you can get to Erie from Dubuque in 10 hours.
Someone going to Penn State-Behrend?
Enjoy Presque Isle State Park.
