I need your help, Chicago!

We are spending a few days in Chicago before Christmas. Then on Christmas day our flight departs from Midway at 8:30 AM
We are staying at Residence Inn, 201 East Walton.

What is the best way to get to MDW for our 8:30 am domestic flight? Would you recommend shuttle, limousine, taxi? What mode of transportation would be most reliable on Christmas morning? What time do you suggest we leave our hotel?

Can someone recommed supermarket near Residence Inn?

The easiest would be a taxi -- probably about $30. It will take you about 30 mins in no traffic (which I'm assuming there shouldn't be any on Christmas AM) There are a few supermarkets in that area. Whole Foods is not too far nor is Treasurer Island. The hotel will know the addresses.

Take a taxi. The orange line service will be very slow on a holiday. Re: grocery stores, there is a Jewel quite close.

Thank you both. We will take a taxi.

I have two more questions.
How long should be a taxi ride from Residence Inn to MDW?
What time do we need to get to MDW for our 8:30 am flight on Christmas day. We hope there are not going be too many people flying that day and so early in the morning.
Thanks again

Figure about 35 mins to get to Midway. I'd get there at least an hour ahead of time.

Just found this message - I also might visit downtown Chi next month to visit my daughter.

Take a taxi, traffic will be light on Xmas Day. Treasure Island is a wonderful grocery store - I can spend a lot of time there, gourmet and everything else. I drive home with a car full of great breads and etc.

A favorite restaurant of mine is Iberico on north LaSalle I think just north of downtown. They serve tapas, small servings of wonderful things, that you order as you eat. Wonderful pitchers of sangria also. Have to go early - 5-5:30 or so- as it gets very crowded and lines. Casual and fun.
