I need some quick advice
Hi everyone,
I'm planning a trip to Colorado and staying at a hotel in Denver called Kimpton Hotel. I asked them if I can bring my emotional support dog to hotel, and they said yes, but only if I have a valid ESA letter. They clearly told me: no letter, no dog. So now I’m looking for a place where I can get a legit ESA letter quickly. I don’t have much time before my trip. Has anyone here done this before? Where did you get your ESA letter? How fast can I get one? Any tips to avoid scams or fake services? I’d really appreciate any help or recommendations. |
Google "Emotional Support Animal Letter" and you'll find links to a number of different reputable companies that, for a small fee, can issue a ESA Letter. Most will be able to issue the letter within 24 to 48 hours.

Emotional Support Animals are NOT service animals and are not protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Businesses and public facilities do not have to accept ESAs,

Unless something has changed quite recently regarding their animal policy, the Kimpton Monaco in Denver welcomes dogs. We've stayed at many Kimpton hotels, including the one In Denver, with our golden retriever. I don't have an emotional support dog but what more than below does an emotional support dog require at a hotel stay? Not asking to challenge what you've said but am curious what else might be required.

Welcome to Fodors. I have no idea where you got your information. Not sure why you even asked them because the website is very clear. It is the Kimpton Hotel Monaco - right?? Or- did you perhaps book through a 3rd party and asked some customer service agent not connected to the Kimpton?? obxgirl is correct -- I've stayed at 3 Stateside Kimpton hotels and all allowed dogs . . . and promoted the policy big time.
It is one of the chain's big selling points . . . Not all but most Kimptons definitely allow dogs |

That's what the OP did. Most Kimptons including the one in Denver allow dogs -- I think the OP may be confused. There is nothing special about an emotional support animal as far as Kimpton is concerned. Any old mutt - certificate or no certificate - is welcome. (I'm sorta half expecting a follow up post praising a company she used to get an ESA letter ;) ) |
This doesn't make sense, it says right on their front page they allow pets. That's why I wont stay in them. ESAs are nothing official, just a pet. The only recognition is by fair housing recognition, not hotels. Tons of hotels allow dogs, though.

The first person I chatted with mentioned an ESA letter, but when I called the Kimpton Monaco directly, they clarified: their standard pet policy covers all dogs, no documentation needed. Zero fees, no size limits. Turns out it was just a wording mix-up on the initial call.
If you are looking into an ESA letter for other reasons (like housing under the Fair Housing Act), I did end up researching options and came across realesaletter.com while comparing services. Just make sure any provider you use is licensed in your state and transparent about the process. But for Kimpton Denver? Pretty sure your pup's already welcome as-is.
