I need a cheap suntan vacation
I live in New York. I want to take a quick trip someplace around January 10 for 2 days where I can get a tan outdoors. Cheap and nice. No driving. Any ideas?

Wow.... not giving us much to work with here. Only 2 days AND you want a tan??? Quite a stretch. Make the appointment at a tanning salon just in case nobody comes up with an idea. Give us 3-4 days and we might be able to help you. Even if your funds were not limited, 2 days really isn't enough time to get anywhere, unpack, tan, repack and go home to NY. Sorry.

Cheap and nice are both extremely arbitrary terms.
What is "cheap" to you? (In other words, total budget for the trip including transport, lodging and food.)
What would need to be included for it to be considered "nice"?
You have lots of options, but should obviously stay east in such a short time. Southern Florida, caribbean islands, gulf side of Mexico. Keep in mind, though, that even as far south as Miami in Florida, the average daily high temperature in January is only in the low 70s. Wonderful compared to a New York January, but maybe not sunbathing weather for everyone.
