I know this sounds crazy but...

I have been pricing airline tickets from BWI to Maui for a June trip and I am getting some really strange results. I checked prices with expedia and priceline and I am getting the same unusual results. The problem I have is if a price a ticket for one person I get a price for 776.00pp (taxes included)but if I price tickets for three people I get a price of 821.00pp (taxes included) for the same flights. Is this crazy? I have never heard of paying more for purchasing three tickets then one. If that is the case then I will purchase one ticket at a time. Any ideas?

There may be only one ticket left at the reduced price. It is crazy, but they have so many tickets at one price and that's it.

Airlines have a set number of seats at a certain price. As girlonthego said, there may only be one ticket left at that price. Did you try for two tickets? What about Orbitz or SideStep.com?

continental.com is pricing at $670 for most dates in June and Delta is close behind at $680. These require an all-night overnighter on the return trip.

The vague header is the craziest thing about this post!
