I got my gift for registering

Today I receive a paper back book...Fodor's &quot; How to Pack&quot; as my free registration gift.<BR><BR>It's not the free trip to Europe that I hoped for (LOL) but it was free.<BR><BR>I wonder if we all get the same book...or different ones.

OliveOyl Feb 10th, 2003 02:25 PM

Hey Dick, I'll trade you! I have no idea what to do with mine. It's a little box with magnetized travel words. What for, does anyone know?? Write messages on the frig telling the cat sitter where we've gone??? Posting hints to significant others as to trips we'd *like* to take? My husband and I laughed. Now a book on how to pack I truly could have used. Can we have a swap room? Anyone else?

x0x0x Feb 10th, 2003 02:38 PM

I got the Fodors.com pin.

dg Feb 10th, 2003 02:45 PM

I got nothing - does that mean that's what my postings were worth?

elberko Feb 10th, 2003 02:51 PM

I also got a pin. Already had one, so slightly disapointing. Better than the magnet thing, though!

cd Feb 10th, 2003 02:54 PM

Got the magnet thing.

Dan Feb 10th, 2003 02:54 PM

I got one of those magnetic &quot;puzzles&quot; you put on your refrigerator. Lots of travel-related words that I can use to make sentences.

jor Feb 10th, 2003 03:10 PM

<BR>My boy frend got a t shirt that say I REGESTERED AT FODERS AND ALL I GOT WASS THIS DUM T-SHIRT.<BR><BR>I got Spel Cheack softwere.<BR>

Faina Feb 10th, 2003 03:30 PM

There is a similar thread on Europe, and somebody who got the magnets explains what to do with them. <BR><BR>I registered too late. My presence here is the free gift from Fodors :)

CF Feb 10th, 2003 04:58 PM

I didn't get anything. How can they send you a gift when home address wasn't part of the registration?

Connie Feb 10th, 2003 05:27 PM

They asked for it when they emailed the first 300 people to complete registration.<BR><BR>I got the magnets. I've read the European board and still don't know what to do with them.

Suzie Feb 11th, 2003 07:59 AM

I didn't send my address until 2/4 so I'm still waiting for my gift. At least I'll know what to expect now!!!! Thanks goodness we have a locking mailbox!!

ronkala Feb 11th, 2003 08:34 AM

Beautiful Al, Beautiful!<BR><BR>My How to Pack book just arrived.

jor Feb 11th, 2003 08:41 AM

Anybody want to swap for my boyfriend's T shirt? Its too small.

nina Feb 11th, 2003 08:49 AM

You got something? I've got to check the mail, unless, unless I've upset Danny and I'm not getting a gift :(

Dick Feb 11th, 2003 10:47 AM

Compared to the pin and the &quot;too small&quot; t-shirt....my book doesn't look so bad after all.<BR><BR>

xxx11 Feb 11th, 2003 10:50 AM

I received mine in the mail today. A beautiful set of travel posters and a book on the NorthEast. Perfect! Fodors. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

evelyntrav Feb 12th, 2003 05:22 AM

Got the magnets which are now in the trash.

Ellen Feb 12th, 2003 07:20 AM

Oh! I want a book! I have nothing magnetic to put the magnets on. Everything in my kitchen is brushed stainless : - (<BR><BR>

marmalady Feb 12th, 2003 03:21 PM

I got the magnet thing. Maybe I can glue a photo on each sheet so it won't be a total waste.

travellyn Feb 13th, 2003 11:00 AM

I got the magnets and will have fun playing with them; my 13 year old daughter loves them.

Dick Feb 13th, 2003 11:18 AM

I'd be willing to trade my How To Pack book.

jor Feb 13th, 2003 11:24 AM

Got my T shirt a few days ago and thought I got another gift yesterday. A car load of Jahovah's Witnesses showed up and one of them knocked on the door. He was pulling out a booklet which I thought was a fodors travel guide. Please Fodors, no more JV's.!

al Feb 13th, 2003 11:29 AM

The lady next door got a kielbasa.

Ellen Feb 13th, 2003 11:34 AM

Happy! I got the packing book, not the magnets. Very useful book, has a listing of pertinent travel related websites at the back - for luggage, clothing, insurance, etc. Now I will be able to answer even more fodorite questions : - )

Patrick Feb 13th, 2003 11:53 AM

What possible good are all those magnets without the words, &quot;troll&quot;, &quot;pompous&quot;, and &quot;registration&quot;?

Ellen Feb 13th, 2003 12:59 PM

Patrick, you forgot Rex, TTT, and ROFL

wemr Feb 13th, 2003 01:51 PM

I got an ambush makeover. But no duct tape and plastic. Anyway, thanks for the Cher look.

Syv Feb 13th, 2003 01:54 PM

I got the Fodors &quot; How to Pack&quot; book too.
