I found a jem of a vacation spot.

The wife and I found a great place for to get a way from it all. Last week we stumbled upon Tranquility Knoll for looking for a relaxing vacation in North Carolina. We relaxed and went horse back rinding, rafting, saw the Biltmore house, and of course, I had to get some fishing in. Check out the site, but don’t book it for too long, I want to go back with the kids!!

Brendan, you made the mistake of using the same name and email address in this posting as the one on the website, showing that it's your own place. How can you "stumble upon" your own business?

Please read the FAQ at Fodor's Travel Talk home page regarding advertising.

By the way, it's spelled "gem."

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that as a last ditch attempt to drum up business in this godforsaken outpost, for a limited time we're offering free 24 hour porno movies and in room massages with every 3 night booking (all rooms are sound insulated).

It's horseback not horse back...Between the jem..not gem and rinding instead of riding...I am sure your place is wonderful but the Fodor's posters are quick to pick up phony posts.

Wow. We stayed there and it was great. The cockroaches were the size of horses, so that's how we did our horse back riding -- on cockroaches. Never mind that the beds hadn't been changed in months, we didn't spend a lot of time in the room anyway as it was too dirty and disgusting. Instead we slept in our car. They had a restaurant with moldy and half eaten food served on paper plates. It was really hardly overpriced as the two of us could eat old hamburgers and moldy fries for a little over $200 per meal -- sometimes with a carton of wine. Don't miss this place. It's really special.

Seriously, this place is nowhere! It's just somebody's cabin in the boonies, and the website is bigger than the rooms. Even the directions are misleading. Brendan must think everyone is as dumb as he is.

Jee whiz, what do you know, just some oh-so-helpful accommodation sales pitch complete with URL. Now what's so suspicious about that, huh? And about the lame directions, maybe the guy just flunked jeography in school, cut him a break! You people are so gudgemental.
