I don't need a dress?

I read in another thread where men don't wear a jacket and tie very often to dine out in California. I can leave all my dresses at home? will I still get to eat?

yes, you could, but you may be arrested on the way to a restaurant for indicent exposure. and then a meal in a slammer is not as good.

What part of California are you planning on vacationing? LA and San Diego are definitely casual - San Francisco a little less so. But overall, I'd say that you can dine at most restaurants in California in a pair of nice slacks even if the place is somewhat fancy.

Yes, you can leave all your dresses at home. If you do find yourself needing a dress, just buy one in Cali. And Josie, don't forget to buy a clue there too.

I hope the clues are sold by the dozen. I'll have lots of space in my suitcase since I won't need dresses. Thanks for a good tip.

You're making me blush....but, thanks for the compliment....which reminds me, Grand Canyon had SO much space...how long would it take to drive there from SF?
