I can't decide which Luau--Polynesian or Paradise Cove
 

--How far are each from Waikiki (actual driving time)?

--Which gives you more bang for the buck (I don't expect great food)?

--From what I've quickly read, is the transportation price included in the PC price but not the PCC?

--Any other help would be appreciated.

Polynesian Cultural Center is about 1 hour from Waikiki. There are ten shows including 'Horizons' which is by far the best Polynesian show in Hawaii. Each of the 7 villages has its own show. There is a canoe pageant. There is the Ali'i Luau. There is 'Horizons'. Polynesian Cultural Center is by far the best Polynesian entertainment in Hawaii.

Paradise Cove is about 50 minutes from Waikiki.l There is one show.

Transportation from Waikiki is not included in the price for either of these. You can get transportation from Waikiki to either of them with the ticket, but it will cost extra.

Germaine's Luau is not quite as good as Paradise Cove. But free transportation from Waikiki is provided. It is about a 50 minute drive.

We've been to PCC and Germaine's in the past and PCC was a whole day event that we really enjoyed. We got there early and spent the day exploring the villages and then attended the luau and show in the evening.

Germaine's was nice but not as much fun as PCC.

I have been to both, and they are different experiences.
My general opinions:

Paradise Cove-- found to be more of a fun+ entertaining, cheesy, tourist experience (but I can enjoy that). Transportation included when we went, when you arrive can walk the grounds and participate in games/craft activities, then the imu ceremony, followed by dinner/show. I like the setting better than PCC (on the beach, nice sunset). I felt the food quality was similar to PCC's luau food.

PCC- can be an all day experience of visiting the different villages and canoe parade, or can go just in the evening for just dinner/show. I prefer the show at PCC to Paradise Cove's.

I don't prefer one to the other, its a toss up for me-- so perhaps I am not much help after all ; )

One thing to consider--and not sure if this is important to you or not--PCC is owned by the Mormon Church so there are no alcohol or caffiene products available.

Each has their points to consider. If you want to get schnockered go to Paradise Cove. Like another poster mentioned, the PCC doesn't serve alcohol.

I see more young couples going to Paradise Cove and more families going to the Ali'i Luau at the PCC. Paradise Cove can take more last-minute reservations, while the best seats at the PCC go early.
