HYATTT KEY WEST RESORT AND MARINA

Has anyone stayed at this hotel? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help.

I've stayed there several times. The location is great and the rooms and pool area are nice. I don't think the restaurant is very good, but I really like the hotel.

Do not stay in a room with a beach view. It is of the public beach and it is inhabited by homeless people. last time we were there, our balcony view was of homeless people vomiting, arguing and peeing. NOT good. The pool side is much better.

We liked the hotel but get the suite that has a great view of the ocean. We had two balaconies and found it wonderful. We loved the to eat at the resturant for breakfast, there OJ was to die for!

Florida orange juice *is* to die for! It's an entirely different product than you'll find elsewhere, except maybe CA. Since moving here, I haven't been able drink it elsewhere. The real thing is unpasteurized and like cider, can go hard if not used quickly enough.

We've stayed at Hyatt KW only once, had a pool view room and it was very nice. Never ate at their restaurant preferring to try in town choices. (Blue Heaven two thumbs up, Louie's Backyard, two thumbs down). We did Floriday's (a 51-2' Irwin docked at the Hyatt) sunset cruise and it was terrific. It wasn't crowded and crew was so congenial. They even managed to get their sails up, which often doesn't happen with sunset cruises as winds usually die right around that time and sailing and finding the wind becomes more of a hassle than anything else for the crew.
