Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio - Have you been?

Have wanted to go to this resort for a long time but would like to hear some personal experiences before I pay the rates. When were you there and what did you think of it?
Thanks in advance for your input.

We stayed at the Hyatt Hill Country in February 1999. It was a very relaxed environment with a western theme, decorated with leather sofas and woven Mexican-y rugs. It was very cold when we were there, so the 2 very large fireplaces in the hotel lobby were so cozy. The pool looked interesting, more like a pond (the bottom was painted a dark color). I would recommend it highly if you're looking for a western get-a-way.

Good luck!

I have stayed there on three occassions. Twice with family and once with only the spouse, winter and summer. It is a great place to unwind and relax. You will loose yourself in luxury. As a matter of fact I am trying to arrange another weekend there next week.

I was there a few months ago for business, and would definitely return for a personal vacation. Keep in mind, though that if you are interested in going to the Riverwalk area you would need to take a cab or drive.
