There are attractions, shopping, and eateries in MV at both Oak Bluffs (ferry comes in here) and Edgartown (Hyannis ferries don't come in here), just shopping/eateries at Vineyard Haven. All are well worth exploring, though -- and there are local buses that connect the three towns. If pressed for time, I'd skip Vineyard Haven of the three.
