Hula Show - Kapiolani Park

Anybody been to the Kodak hula show in Kapiolani Park on Oahu? Does this show still exist?

The Kodak Hula Show changed to the Pleasant Hawaiian Hula Show in 1999, and then closed for good in 2002.

You can see free hula every night (6PM or so) at the Kuhio Beach hula mound -- near the statue of Duke Kahanamoku (along with the torch lighting ceremony there).

There are also hula shows (free) periodically in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping center. I don't know the regularity or schedule of these, but noticed many of them the last time I was in Waikiki. There are also hula shows inside the Int'l Market Place ocassionally.

Auntiemaria, where is the Kuhio beach hula mound near the statue of Duke Kahanamoku?

It is in the area of the Hyatt and Marriott - about a 3 minute walk from the Outrigger Waikiki, going toward Diamond Head.

Yes, the Kuhio Beach hula show was a fun one to meander down to from the Outrigger Waikiki last summer. My kids (13, 9 at the time) enjoyed it too.
