SW FL (Fort Myers/Sanibel) 78 at noon with probably 87 tops. A little humid for this time of year but I'll take it over the Michigan weather I left behind.

HI EVERYONE. This time of year everybody is ready for SPRING!! And everyone gets cranky when winter drags on and on. We got snowed on one year in NY in mid April. Here is Arkansas, that would be southeastern Arkansas, Fri was warm and sunny in the 70's we wore shorts, Sat was cooler and partly cloudy, Sun was severe thunderstorms, and now the air con is again off and the heat has been turned back on. Right now it is cloudy, and a cool 54, the fog is gone and the spring flowers are bloomin'. Anyone in the south is dealing with the hazy of green pollen over everything. The puddles left from the rain look like nuclear contamination of some sort. We complain now but in 2 months we will be sweltering in near 100 degree heat with 100% humidity. I'll take today over that anyday.

The weather stinks! Here I sit in Northern NJ with snow coming down like crazy! Schools were canceled and we are expection 6 - 12 inches by night. So far there hasn't been much accumlation so I am pretty annoyed that they canceled school. We have to make this day up because we already had 5 snow days this winter. They will probably take a day away from our spring break, which means my son will miss a day of school because we are out of here and heading south in 9 days to hopefully sunny and warm FL. I can't wait! I am so sick of this winter or is it spring? It is all a cruel joke!

We need Spring!

ARKANSASNURSE Apr 7th, 2003 12:04 PM

Just rechecked in. Hey I can relate ok? I was born in Ithaca NY, I have family in the southern tier of NY from Conesus to Elmira. I love NYC in the snow but around Christmas, not April. My sympathies are with you all. I would like to be out the island at Montauk. I lived there several years and saw snow once that I can remember. It is now 65 degrees here and I have pink tulips blooming. Sorry ya'll!

FAYZIE Apr 7th, 2003 12:10 PM

Snowing--again--in Wisconsin.
Will spring ever arrive????

SaraLou Apr 7th, 2003 05:24 PM

Wow! I had no idea when I posted this that everyone was having crappy weather, nor did I know that today I would be moving about a thousand lbs of wet heavy snow from in front of my garage and off my sidewalks. My husband goes to Miami about every 2nd or 3rd week. He always seems to be gone when there is snow to be shoveled. Oh well, good for him, tough luck for me.

Only 9 days til I will be lounging by the Gulf of Mexico!

retired_readytogo Apr 7th, 2003 05:28 PM
