I live in North NJ and also spend time regularly in central NY state. Two to three times per month I make the drive south through NY state and PA past Binghamton and Scranton and then through the Delaware Water Gap. Colors have been muted this year - the most subdued I can recall in many years. Leaves are now finally starting to turn here in the NYC area and it looks better...

Excellent year here, south of Boston. Most trees were brighter than usual, and have lasted longer, too, perhaps because of drought? Even my oak tree, which usually just turns mud-brown, is red this year.

Door County Wisconsin had a good year; colors were very very pretty and hung on pretty long. Lots of vibrant golds and oranges - the one loss is that we don't get much red in the region. We are extremely fortunate because even tho most of the trees are now bare, we have a line of poplars in the drive that are the very last to change....so there's still a blaze of gold to savor.
