Mart, I think tipping chambermaids once at the end of your stay is the standard.

We always tip each day because one gets a different housekeeper on different days. We like to make sure that the woman who cleaned our room that day gets the tip for it. Does anyone else agree?

If you don't tip she might wash your drinking glasses in the toilet.

Personally, I tip the maids because they don't make much money and generally and rely on tips to make ends meet.

I would tip the gal daily. Cleaning out the chamber pot each morning is not pleasant work.
