How to reach the Air & Space Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center
Just read on their website that as of September 5, 2006, the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum will no longer offer shuttle service between its National Mall building and the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center. What are other options? We'll be staying a couple of blocks from the Adams/Morgan metrostop, and do not plan to rent a car. Thanks for any/all info.

Well if you're flying into the DC area thru Dulles then you can get over to the Udvar-Hazy museum a bit easier. It's actually located just below Dulles Airport and I believe you'd need a car to reach it.

Find Virginai Regional Transit Authority bus ($2) service schedules (Dulles to the museum) at http://www.vatransit.org/bus_schedules.cfm
You can take the 5A Metrobus from L'Enfant Plaza or Rosslyn Metro stations for $2.10 to $3 http://www.wmata.com/timetables/dc/5a.pdf or visit http://www.wmata.com/riding/visitors/airports.cfm if you want other options for getting to Dulles Airport.
