How to kill a few hours in San Jose, CA

Help! I'm flying into the SJC tomorrow morning, picking up a car, meeting family for lunch and then picking up my husband at the airport around 4 or 5 pm before we head to Monterey for the weekend. I'll have 2 - 3 hours of time to fill in the afternoon and would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

You might want to check out Santana Row for shopping.

Thank you! That looks like a good option.

I have heard great things about the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum in San Jose.

If you prefer outdoors you could take a walk, either in the foothills (eg Rancho San Antonio Park) or along the bay (eg Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Alviso)

I enjoyed the Winchester Mystery House, a remarkably eccentric Victorian style home. Also liked the San Jose Museum of Art.

Was less taken with the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum. Except for some of the small sized artifacts, most of its holdings are reproductions. If you're never planning to see the Egyptian artifacts in places like the Louvre or British Museum, I guess it makes sense to go there, but otherwise am thinking not.

I only ended up with about a half hour of spare time so I made a quick stop at Santana Row and a coffee at Peet's. Thanks again for the great suggestions! I really want to see the Winchester Mystery House, so definitely next time.
