How to guarantee 2 vehicles from the same rental company on priceline?

Our vacation group is thinking of renting multiple vans from priceline, since priceline.com saves saves us over $10/day on car rentals compared to full price. We are interested in renting both vans from the same rental company, so we can stay together as a group. I called each car rental company, none of them offer anything bigger than a minivan, so renting a full van is out of the question.

Because priceline takes each bid placed independently on a car by car basis, there is no guarantee renting from the same car rental company on priceline.com.

Does anyone have any ideas? Without having to call one rental company and pay full price for both vans? Or is there another car rental consolidator that have this option?

We really appreciate any help.

Just a question - where are you renting from? An airport location? If so does it really matter if they are from the same company or not?

At most airports, the rental agencies are all near each other - so if one was from Hertz and one was from Dollar - it would be OK.

I wouldn't try to over analyze too much, and just take the best deals I could get . . . .

Have you tried to search for van rental for the city you are landing in on Google. Sometimes you will be surprised who rents the larger vans that could take your whole party at once.

Use Priceline and if you get 2 different companies, find a meeting place--with cell phones, it is easy to meet at an exit along your route.

I'll admit to not being a Priceline expert, but if you enter two identical bids for the same thing at the same time (particularly with the van limitation), aren't the chances pretty great that you'll end up with the same company being awarded?

Yeah - the chances are good. But just in case they are different companies, I don't see a real issue.
