Betsy, thanks for the link and smartcookie, thanks for the suggestion.

My son said that he didn't really like SSU in the beginning because, crazy as it may sound, there were too many girls. He said that the ratio is something like 70-30. He's got a girlfriend (in SD), so he wasn't all that interested in meeting girls other than as friends. He said that he wanted to make some guy friends, but although everyone was nice, he hadn't found anyone yet who he had more in common with. He said that he had mostly met skaters and surfers while his big thing is basketball. I guess he did start to make guy friends by going and playing basketball at the rec center, so last account is that he's liking SSU more, but still not great because he misses his girlfriend and all his friends from HS.

Btw, he was able to find someone actually willing to take him to the Doubletree this morning at 4:45a to get to SFO for his 9a flight to SD. So, he didn't need to spend the night at the airport or take a taxi to the Doubletree this morning. But, thanks again for everyone's help!!

Go to the south of campus, on Sequoia Way. Pick up the # 44 south, Sonoma County Transit. Ride to Copeland Mall, in Petaluma. Hop off, and get on southbound # 101 Golden Gate transit (the express bus to SF). Go into San Francisco.

Get off # 101 Golden Gate at 4th and Mission in San Francisco. It’s about six blocks to station at 4th and Townsend streets. Walk, cab, catch Caltrain feeder bus to at 4th and Howard (free, show ticket), or # 30 Muni at 3rd and Mission, to train station.

Perhaps the young man was on the 8 year college plan, or is pursuing his Ph.D studies @ SSU.

Just thot I'd update for anyone. The 101 GGT didn't exist in 2007. SSU is in the boonys.
