How to get to Newark airport?
We will be coming from upstate New York and are planning on taking Garden State Parkway but every time when we get near the airport area things become confusing. There are no clear signs for the airport. Can someone please give me details directions how to get to the airport and then to Economy lots I think they are G and H. And yes, I checked the maps, some websites but I still need your help. Thank you

Hope this helps and enjoy your trip:

If you're coming south on the garden state, there's no direct exit for interstate 78 East. You have to take the exit (I think it's 142) to I-78 West, get off at the first exit, and then proceed to get back onto I-78 East. From there, it's about 5 miles or so to Newark Airport, which I believe is exit 57. You can follow the signs to the economy lots G&H once you are in the airport. I usually choose to leave my car either at the monorail lots D (a few bucks a day more than G/H) or to use one of the offsite parking lots that cost about the same as the G/H economy lots but have someone watching your car while you are away.

If you can catch the NJ Turnpike heading south rather than the Garden State Parkway, the exit for Newark is 14C. After you go through the toll booth, follow the signs to the main terminal of the parking lot.

The exit from the NJ Turnpike is 14... NOT 14C (which is the exit for the Holland Tunnel).

You should take the Turnpike to exit 14 not 14 c. I would take the GSP to exit 159 and take Interstate 80 east and then take 95 south (Turnpike).

That is better than the loops you need to take from I-78.

If you are coming from the NJ Turnpike (or from Routes 1/9) there will be signs on the airport access road, directing you to lots G & H. The signs are small and you ust watch for them carefully, as there is much construction underway and the route is at times circuitous. Allow about 10-15 minutes to get from the turnpike tool booth exit to the lots. Free shuttle buses to the terminal run every 15 minutes 24 hours a day and are reliable. I departed from Newark this past Sunday and it was very quick getting from the lot to the terminal. I've parked there a dozen or more times and never had a problem with my car - the lot is well fenced and very remote. It's $8 per day - if I recall correctly the monorail lots are $12-13 and valet parking is $18-19. The valet parking is not worth it and the mononrail lots arte only a bit faster than the economy lots (IMHO). The offsite park 'n lock facilities run $10-12 per day depoending on wheter they're having a special or not.
