How many hours to budget for Ellis Island visit?
 

How many hours does the typical Ellis Island visit last (not counting the time on the ferries)? My husband is pretty much a "see everything" kind of guy, so our visit will be on the long side of whatever is normal.

3 hours.

Three hours minimum. Plan on four if including your husband.

LOL. I guess we DO have to include my husband. (Although we've wanted to leave him behind at museums many times!)

I don't see any references to a restaurant on the web site. I assume there is a restaurant or snack bar there?

Three hours, and yes there is a snack bar/restaurant there. If you get the audio tour, which I DO recommend, it will take you three hours to go through.
