How long is too long?
 

I am staying at Tenaya Lodge in Yosemite for six nights. What would be the number of days you would recommend; would there be enough activities for me to follow for that span of time? Would I get my sightseeing done in a less time, allowing me to see other places of interest? Thank you for any advice.

It depends on how you like it. I would think anything over 9 inches is too long.<BR><BR>Next time try to post what the heck you want to know in your topic. Happy Easter.

I will attempt to answer although it has been a long time since we were there and there was unlimited access by car. You can go up to Tuolomne Meadows for a day. You can probably even go to the Sequoias (I think) for a day. I would think it would be lovely.

Hi Josie! I've been to Yosemite more times than I can count. I think it depends on how much you like to hike. There are many incredible hikes that could easily fill a week.<BR><BR>The Mist Trail up to Vernal Falls<BR><BR>Half Dome - very strenuous in 1 day<BR><BR>Tenaya Lake to Clouds Rest (from Toloumne Meadows - absolutely awesome views, you look DOWN on Half Dome<BR><BR>many others around the valley floor that are short & easy<BR><BR>many more flat hikes around Toloumne Meadows also<BR><BR>Have fun!

I haven't stayed in the park for more than 3 nights at a time, and I think that 6 nights would be lovely. Yes, there are other places of interest, but it's hard to beat Yosemite. I wouldn't have any trouble filling 6 days.

Thank you to the serious posters; I have noted the different hiking spots and I plan on enjoying each day to the max. <BR><BR>I just knew "duh" would come up with a great reply...always one in the crowd. Had a good laugh over it, maybe you should take a hike, too....a LONG one. And, happy Easter to you, too.

Josie, I absolutely love Yoemite! There are several different ends of the park, each with enough to keep an outdoor lover occupied for weeks, let alone days. You might want to bast yourself at different ends of the park for a few days. If the valley gets too crowded and stressful,for example, the Tioga Pass, if open, is breathtaking and has some amazing scenery and hikes, with far fewer crowds {you didn't say what time of year you'll be visiting}. I haven't been to the south end of the park, but would have loved to - so much to see, so little time [we had 4 nights}.If you decide to stay put, I'm certain that you'll find plenty to do. Have a great time - I'm jealous!
