How long is the drive from DC to Delaware beaches?

Wondering how long it will take during the week, not during rush hour?

It is about 3 hrs. from DC to the Maryland beaches. But this is not taking Hwy 50 all the way. (Take some back roads after crossing over the bridge.) Probably similar times to get to the Delaware beaches.

Going non rush hour I would expect it to take about 2 1/2 hours from DC

Highway 404 is also a good route to Delaware beaches.

Rte 50 of course to the eastern shore - then 404 if to Rehobeth, or stay on 50 to ocean city. Probably three hours to OC, a bit less to R. It is MORE FUN to go to OC thru R, driving along the ocean thru bethany.
