How Long Have You Been Visiting Fodors

I have been visiting this site for about a year and have learned alot from the USA and the Europe pages.
How long have some of you been coming here and asking and answering questions? It seems like alot of you are real pros by now.
Just wondering.

Hi Pam - I "discovered" this site last October time (I don't remember how - probably just surfing)

I have to admit that I find it both useful(especially for my trips to Boston, Cyprus and NYC this year) AND hugely entertaining.

Being a Brit I'm aware that most of the users are from the USA - but thats what makes it interesting for me - different ideas and responses to lots of different travel (mostly) situations.

It's an addictive pastime isn't it!!!

Pam, good question. I've been visiting this site for almost 2 years. I was asking a co-worker if she ever used the fodor books while planning a trip and she was the one who turned me on to this site. I don't plan a a trip without help from all you fodorites.Although I still use the fodor books I don't know how I ever took a trip without all your help. Thanks everyone.

i997 for me also.
Interesting how many of us discovered it at the same time.
I've learned a lot.
Some very useful tips and info on occasion.
And just plain entertaining at times (esp the Euro board).

Some would say I've been here too long!

Going on 3 yrd year?

It is a very helpful site, especially when we planned our first trip to Europe in 2000. All the hotels we used were great and we had no problems with them.
The experienced travelers also gave us some very good pointers on what to avoid, short cuts and holes in the wall places to go.
I just try to return the favor.
Mahalo and HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SUMMER!
Kal

I discovered this site about 2 months ago. I am planning my first trip to Europe in August and all you fodorites have provided some super tips.

I've been buying Fodor's travel books for years, but only discovered this site in January. Even though there are a few nasty posters out there, overall I feel the information is invaluable. I visit this site virtually every day. It's so addicting!

Discovered the site about a year ago. Have used it to plan my vacation and also to entertain myself when I want to step away from my work for a moment. The only problem is that it becomes almost addicting. Can't imagine a work day without checking it out at least once.

I started visiting the Europe board in July last year, preparing for a trip to France. When I got back in late September, I switched over to the US board.

I got hooked on this site last year and haven't found any other travel site quite like it.

The layout is great and the site is easy to navigate

With the exception of a few extremely nasty remarks, there's a good mix of humor and helpfulness

The information is very useful

This has become my one-stop-travel-planning stop!

addictive.......not addicting.

I've probably been using this site since 1999 or 2000. I don't remember how I found it. I too am an addict! I eat lunch at my desk and spend the time here.

A little over a year ago I was reading travel tips on another web site that I thought was the cat's meow. One of the writers mentioned Fodors so I came over for a peek and have been here ever since. With time out for sleep and meals, and, oh yes, work.
It is the best travel site I have found and easy to post on also. Fun to read the humor and pathos too.
