How long do Christmas Decorations remain up?

I'll be visiting New York January 3-5 and was wondering if any of the Christmas trees and Christmas store windows decorations would still be up. Since Epiphany isn't until January 6th, I was hoping that a few things would still be decorated.

Heck no, New York City as any other city has their Christmas decorations down on Christmas day. I know for a fact that the retail stores start their Christmas displays right after Labor Day. Halloween, and Thanksgiving are hardly recognized. I wouldn't be surprised if the Valentine decorations don't start coming out next week.

I agree, but that is our religion, they should stay up until the Epiphany, but New York and the bigger cities have no religion. By the way, Happy Chanukah to all of you celebrating it this week.

If it anything like some of the people in my town, they won't come down til Easter!

I think the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is up until January 3. I'm not sure about the store displays.

guys, don't be ridiculous. NYC's busiest tourist week is between Christmas and New Years. Everything will still be up until then (though that won't help Lizzy much) The Rockefeller Center tree is up until January 7th, I think (there was a thread about this a few weeks ago if you want to search)
